He also appeared in three seasons of the Starz series Survivor’s Remorse, produced by LeBron James, earning a 2016 NAACP Image Award for his role as ‘Uncle Julius.’ He previously won a 2011 NAACP Image Award for Jumping the Broom and earned critical praise for Sparkle (2012), opposite Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks.
