THE SHOW:

ALOK (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor. ALOK’s literary works “Beyond the Gender Binary,” “Femme in Public,” and “Your Wound, My Garden,” have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Netflix is a Joke Festival. ALOK's first comedy special BIOLOGY! [alokvmenon.com] was executive produced by Christopher Guest. They are the subject of the docu-short “ALOK” executive produced by Jodie Foster and directed by Alex Hedison, which made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024. On screen, they can also be seen in Complicated Order, The Trans List, and Absolute Dominion (forthcoming). On television, they can be seen on HBO's Sex Lives of College Girls, Sort Of and Random Acts of Flyness, Hulu’s Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne, and Netflix’s Gender Agenda Comedy Special and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.

whatever mike is a New Jersey-raised,  LA-based recording artist, singer, songwriter, performer, spiritual practitioner, and song leader. Their unique sound - which they call Hope Pop - has earned them 25M+ streams across platforms and appearances at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Governer's Ball, and Bonnaroo. Mike has toured nationally and internationally, most recently with acclaimed comedian and activist Alok Vaid-Menon. Their sound blends elements of R&B, soul, pop, and folk, with introspective songwriting that explores queer consciousness, devotional practice, and mysticism. Their new EP, Everything to Gain, is a meditation on healing, devotion, and self-discovery - an exploration of queer spirituality through sound. With buttery layered vocals and hypnotic production, the project holds space for nuance, paradox, and the big questions of life, embracing both light and shadow, movement and stillness. ‘I pray for the victims and pray for the shooter,’ a lyric that cuts to the core of the EP’s heart, reflects its willingness to hold complexity and compassion at once. Sonically, the project lives somewhere between James Blake’s emotional depth, Bon Iver’s layered intimacy, and Frank Ocean’s fluid, genre-blurring warmth. Mike’s work doesn’t seek easy answers; instead, they invite you to find peace in the unknown.
